Two Very Kind Podcasts!

In case you missed these two very kind podcasts, I'm sharing them here for you!

Podcast 1: Charter for Compassion Global Read: Big Karma and Little Kosmo Books

Every month, The Charter for Compassion, an organization started by renowned author, scholar and TED prize winner Karen Armstrong, presents a Global Read in which they feature a book, and an author focusing on leading with kindness and spreading compassion.

Last year, I had the opportunity to facilitate a Global Read session and interview author Olivia McIvor.

This year, my Big Karma and Little Kosmo books were chosen to be featured on the Global Read for Kids, and I had the honor of being interviewed by the books' illustrator, and my good friend and co-creator, Karen Light.

Although you might think Big Karma and Little Kosmo Help Each Other and Big Karma and Little Kosmo Welcome New Cat Zenni are children's books, because they have pictures, I wrote them as "family books": the messages of both books are ones for adults to share with children.

Big Karma and Little Kosmo know that being different is the gift we have all been given to help each other in their first book, and in the second they learn that a newcomer is simply a friend you haven't met yet.

All proceeds from both these books go directly to fund the work of The Love and Kindness Project Foundation and KindLeadership.org

Podcast 2: The Unsilenced Sisterhood Podcast: Celebrating Womyn's Voices

A few weeks ago, I had another honor! I was the first guest on three-time TEDx speaker and founder of The Brave and Unbroken Project and Foundation, Pennie Saum's exciting new podcast: Unsilenced Sisterhood.

This innovative format gives a platform for womyn to raise their voice and speak their truth by answering three poignant and creative questions:

  1. How would you introduce yourself in an one-to-three word book title. And why would you choose that title?

  2. What advice would you give to your younger self?

  3. What is the one thing you want the world to know?

Take a listen to this short, fast-paced podcast to find out why leading with kindness is so important to me, and why everyone needs to be exactly who they are!

I am who I am...and you need to be who you are!
