Psychological safety at home: How to talk to children about war

As parents, we are our children's first teachers...and leaders. Often, our 'jobs' as leaders at home, are even more difficult than they are at work, and it can be hard to know how to talk to children about frightening subjects, such as war. To help parents prepare to talk with their children about the war in Ukraine, create a psychologically safe atmosphere, and understand the extra importance of kindness in these uncertain times, I asked my friend Jessica House, a children’s mental health expert, to talk about how to parent and help support children given the current crisis/war.

In this recording, you'll find practical information on the on how to talk to children about war, how to create psychological safety for yourself and your child, and how to incorporate kindness as a healing practice for your family.

If you have questions, please reach out to Jessica or me. We are here to help you and your family at any time.
